Oak View Roof Repair for Leaks and Storm Damage
Up in the narrow valley along the Ventura River, the dry weeks before the winter rains are when a roof's weak spots are easiest to find. We drive up from Santa Barbara, go up the ladder and follow the water ourselves, and the price reaches you on paper before anything starts.
Weekend calls are answered too. Leave a message after hours and we ring back the next working morning.
What we fix up the valley
Roof repair in Oak View
Leaking, storm-damaged and worn-out roofs on valley homes and small buildings are what we repair here, from tracing a leak to tile, flashing and flat roof work.
-
Leaks
A ceiling drip rarely sits under the hole, because rain travels along the rafters first. We work back up from the stain to where it enters and repair it there.
-
Flashing
Chimney, valley, skylight and wall metal that has pulled loose, resealed or remade, with the "step flashing" along a sidewall included.
-
Tile
Broken or slid clay and concrete tile swapped for matching pieces. Where sound tile sits on spent paper, a "lift-and-relay" lays fresh paper and sets the same tile back.
-
Flat roof
"Ponding", cracked surfaces and blocked "scuppers" on flat and low-slope roofs over garages, additions and shops.
-
Storm damage
Shingles the wind has raised, limbs that came down and torn tabs, photographed as found and fixed ahead of the next rain.
Valley weather
How Oak View weather shapes a roof repair
Here a roof repair may begin with what the valley's summer sun and winter rain have worn down, and only after that do we close off the route the rain follows in.
Long dry months bake the paper under tile and shingle, and the "underlayment" usually wears out before the tile does. When the rain returns, it finds the joint that opened over the summer. Leaves and windblown debris collect in valleys, gutters and behind chimneys, where the "cricket" has to stay clear so water can shed around it.
The median home here was built in 1965, so the roof over yours has likely been redone before. We look at what sits under the top layer, including any "overlay" laid over an older roof, before we add to it.

After the repair
Photos and a written record for every Oak View repair
We finish each repair by handing you before-and-after photos and a written account of what we did.
With the roof opened up, we also shoot what the yard never shows you, decking, underlayment and metal, so you can see what went back beneath the tile or shingle. File it with your house papers in case of a sale or an insurance claim later.
What else you can count on
- We arrive on the day and at the hour we give you
- The whole job is priced before work begins, and that price holds
- The yard and drive are swept clean before we leave

What our customers say
Reviews of Titan Roofing, as the customers wrote them.
Top notch - Serjio and his team was an absolute pleasure to work with. They were always on time and the most polite and pleasant contractors we have ever had. The whole team went out of the way to make the time at our home as comfortable as possible. I would highly recommend his company.
Thank you. titan roofing I highly recommend them to everybody Five stars all the way
I called Titan Roofing & Rain Gutters inc.for a quote on a residential home, and within minutes they were calling me back and setting up a same day appointment. Sergio came out within the hour and was very professional. He looked everything over and even gave me some great advice in case we ever do experience any leaks. He didn't even have the job but was still willing to help me out.
Heard on calls from the valley
A common Oak View roof question
Owners here often ask us why a roof that still looks sound from the driveway is leaking.
Most often the culprit is a small part rather than the roof itself. A "pipe boot", the rubber sleeve where a vent pipe comes through, cracks well ahead of the shingles or tile around it.
The "flashing" at chimneys, walls and skylights is the most common leak point, and we check the pipe boots and then the wall lines when we trace a leak. Both are repairs, and neither is a reason on its own to talk about a new roof.
